Professional SEO Consultancy

Need senior SEO direction rather than another execution retainer? Adrian Dąbrowiecki and our team of experienced specialists work directly with marketing teams, founders, agencies and investors as strategists and a second pair of eyes: audits, roadmaps, team coaching, dev ticket reviews and monthly advisory. You keep execution in-house; we make sure it is pointed at the right things. We focus on international expansion: we advise SaaS, B2B and e-commerce companies winning the US, UK and European markets. Ex Head of Marketing and SEO at Landingi, Placester and Testportal, with hands-on work on Google patents, NLP and AI search.

Who hires a professional SEO consultant, and why

Consultancy is the right model when you already have people who can write, build and publish, but nobody senior enough to decide what they should do first. These are the four situations I am hired for most often.

In-house marketing teams

You have a content marketer, a developer with some spare sprint capacity and a growth lead who ‘also does SEO’. What is missing is a strategy, a prioritised roadmap and someone who can answer hard questions quickly. I plug in as the senior SEO your team reports to on search, without the cost of a full-time head.

Agencies that need a senior on call

Web, PPC and content agencies often sell SEO without a senior SEO on staff. I white-label audits, review your team’s strategy documents before they reach the client, join pitch calls and handle the technical escalations your account managers cannot.

Founders and growth leads

You run a SaaS, marketplace or D2C brand and need to know whether SEO is worth the next 12 months of budget, what it would take and who to hire. I give you an honest answer, a plan with numbers, and help hiring or briefing the people who will execute it.

Investors and acquirers

Organic traffic is often the most valuable, and most fragile, asset in a deal. I run SEO due diligence: traffic quality, dependence on a few pages or links, penalty and algorithm-update exposure, technical debt and a realistic view of upside after acquisition.

What SEO consultancy services include

Every engagement is scoped to your situation, but most draw on the same six building blocks. You can buy any of them as a one-off project or combine them into a monthly advisory retainer.

01

SEO strategy and roadmap

A written strategy covering positioning in search, the topics and page types worth winning, competitive gaps, AI search visibility and a quarter-by-quarter roadmap with owners and effort estimates. Built so your team can execute it without me in the room.

02

Technical and content audits

Full technical crawl, indexation and Core Web Vitals review, content and internal-linking audit, backlink risk review. Each finding comes with impact, effort, a recommended fix and, where useful, a ready-to-paste dev ticket. See also our SEO audit service.

03

Team coaching and workshops

Half-day or full-day workshops for content, dev and product teams: how search engines and AI assistants actually rank and cite pages, how to brief content, how to ship SEO-safe releases. Followed by hands-on reviews of the team’s first deliverables.

04

Monthly advisory and Slack access

A recurring strategy call, a shared Slack channel for questions during the month, review of drafts, briefs and reports, and a short written summary of decisions. You get senior answers in hours, not at the next quarterly review.

05

Dev ticket and release reviews

I review migration plans, redesigns, JavaScript frameworks, URL changes, hreflang set-ups and the tickets your developers write, before they ship. Catching one bad canonical rule before launch is worth more than six months of link building after it.

06

Hiring support and agency oversight

Job descriptions, take-home tasks and interview scoring for in-house SEO hires; or an independent second opinion on your current agency’s strategy, reports and link profile. You find out whether you are paying for progress or for activity.

How SEO consultancy differs from an execution retainer

An execution retainer delivers output: pages written, links built, fixes deployed. Consultancy delivers judgement: what to do, in which order, and what to stop doing. We offer both; the mistake is buying volume when what you need is advice, or the other way round.

You own the work and the knowledge

Everything is documented for your team: strategy, decision log, briefs, ticket templates. When the engagement ends, nothing leaves with me. Your team is more capable than before, not more dependent.

Incentives aligned with outcomes, not output

I am not paid per article or per link, so I have no reason to recommend more of either. If the right move is to delete 400 thin pages and fix your pricing page, that is what the roadmap says.

Senior time on every hour

Consultancy hours are not handed down the line. Every hour billed is senior time from Adrian or one of our experienced specialists: the person who writes the strategy is the person on your call and in your Slack.

When you need execution too

Some clients start with consultancy and later add delivery. If you want a team to write, build links or run technical fixes, our SEO services cover that, with the same senior oversight and no 12-month lock-in.

How a consultancy engagement runs

Whether you book 10 hours or a 12-month fractional role, the first weeks follow the same path. You know what you are getting, and when, before you commit.

01

Discovery call (free, 30 minutes)

We talk about your business model, team, current SEO set-up and what you want the engagement to change. I tell you honestly whether consultancy is the right fit or whether you need something else.

02

Access and baseline

Read access to Search Console, GA4, your CMS and any crawl tools you use. I establish the baseline: traffic by intent, indexation health, content inventory, backlink profile, share of voice versus competitors and AI search presence.

03

Audit and strategy

Within two to four weeks you receive the audit and a strategy document with a prioritised roadmap. Each item has owner, effort, expected impact and dependencies, so your product and dev leads can slot it into existing sprints.

04

Kick-off workshop

A working session with your marketing, content and dev teams to walk through the findings, agree the first quarter’s priorities and set up briefs, templates and reporting.

05

Advisory rhythm

Monthly or bi-weekly strategy calls, Slack access for day-to-day questions, review of drafts, tickets and releases. Decisions are written down so nobody has to remember what was agreed.

06

Quarterly review and re-plan

Every quarter we look at what moved, what did not and why, then update the roadmap. If the team no longer needs me, we scale down or stop. There is no minimum term.

Why work with me as your SEO consultant

A consultant is only as useful as the problems they have personally solved. Here is the background that informs the advice.

In-house experience, not only agency experience

Before consulting, I was Head of Marketing and Head of SEO at SaaS companies: Landingi (landing page platform), Placester (real estate websites, US market) and Testportal (online assessments). At Landingi, organic traffic grew by 375% and the site reached more than 8,200 top-3 rankings. At Placester, a technical SEO programme delivered +189% organic growth in the US. I know what it is like to defend an SEO budget to a board, to negotiate with a product team for sprint time and to be judged on MRR rather than rankings.

Research-based, not folklore-based

My recommendations draw on Google’s own patents and public documentation, NLP research and a lot of testing, rather than on conference anecdotes. That matters most when advising dev teams: they want a reason, not a rule of thumb. It also means I can tell you which ‘best practices’ are safe to ignore and which ones will cost you traffic if you skip them.

AI search is part of every strategy

ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews now answer a growing share of commercial questions. Every roadmap I write includes how to be the source that gets cited: entity clarity, structured data, comparison and definition content, brand mentions and measurement of AI referrals. See our AI SEO service for the execution side.

Direct, written, accountable

You will get clear recommendations, in writing, with my reasoning. If I think your agency is doing a good job, I will say so. If I think a planned migration will lose you 30% of traffic, I will say that too, and show you how to prevent it. You can check the results of the strategies I have led in our case studies.

Engagement models and what you receive

Four ways to work together. Most clients start with a project (audit or strategy) and move to a retainer once the roadmap is in motion.

Who we are

An agency built for brands expanding abroad

International expansion is our focus. Most of our clients are SaaS, B2B and e-commerce companies entering or growing in the US, UK and European markets, and we help them win those markets through SEO, AI search and paid media.

On larger projects we bring in trusted external experts whenever the work calls for it, so our clients get the best possible results.

We stay flexible: the team is put together around each project, not the other way round.

SEO consultancy: frequently asked questions

The questions I am asked before most engagements. If yours is not here, the free consultation is the place to ask it.

What does a professional SEO consultant actually do?

A consultant diagnoses, plans and advises; your team executes. In practice that means audits, a strategy and roadmap, reviewing what your writers and developers produce, answering questions as they arise and holding regular calls to adjust priorities. The output is better decisions and a more capable team, rather than a volume of pages or links.

How much does SEO consultancy cost?

Hourly consulting is $100–150 per hour, with a 5-hour minimum block. Advisory retainers usually start at 8 hours per month and fractional Head of SEO roles at one day per week; both are quoted monthly based on scope. Projects such as audits, strategies and due diligence are quoted as a fixed fee once I know the size of the site and the questions to answer.

Should I hire an SEO consultant or an SEO consulting agency?

If you have people who can execute and need senior direction, consultancy is the better fit: senior direction, with execution staying in your team. If you lack capacity to write, build and fix, an agency or our own SEO services make more sense. Many clients combine both: consultancy to set strategy, a delivery team to run it.

Can you work alongside our existing agency?

Yes, and it is a common set-up. I review the agency’s strategy, reports and link profile, join the monthly call, and help you ask better questions. Good agencies welcome it; if yours does not, that is useful information too.

Which industries and markets do you consult in?

Mostly SaaS, B2B, e-commerce and multi-market companies in the US, UK and EU, in English, Polish and with native partners for German, French, Spanish, Italian, Swedish and Danish. See the specialist pages for SaaS, ecommerce and international SEO.

How quickly can we start, and is there a minimum term?

A free consultation can usually be booked within a week; audits and strategies start within two weeks of access. Retainers run month to month with 30-day notice and no minimum term. Projects are fixed-scope, so they simply end when delivered.

Talk to a senior SEO consultant, not a sales team

Tell me about your business, your team and the decision you are trying to make: whether to invest in SEO, how to fix a traffic drop, what to do about a migration, or whether your agency is delivering.

You will get a free 30-minute consultation with me, Adrian Dąbrowiecki, and a clear recommendation on the next step, even if that step is not hiring me.
