Local SEO Consultancy
Local SEO consultancy that designs the system, not just the listing. Adrian Dąbrowiecki, former Head of Marketing and SEO at Landingi, Placester and Testportal, and our team of experienced specialists set your Google Business Profile strategy for one location or three hundred, build the review engine, plan location pages that rank, audit citations and train the branch managers who keep it all alive. We focus on international expansion: we help multi-location brands, B2B and e-commerce companies win local search, city by city, across the US, UK and European markets. Your team or agency executes; you get senior local SEO consulting by the hour, on retainer or as a fractional Head of SEO.
google.com · dentist near meWhy hire a local SEO consultant instead of another listings tool
Listing software syncs your address. It does not decide which categories to choose, how to win the map pack in a competitive district, what to do about a suspended profile or how to get 120 branch managers to ask for reviews. That is the job of local SEO consulting.
Strategy for every location, not one template
A city-centre branch and a suburban branch compete with different rivals, categories and search terms. We map each location’s local pack, set priorities by revenue potential and decide where to invest in content, links and reviews first.
A system your branches can run
Local SEO lives or dies in the field: photos, replies to reviews, opening hours on bank holidays. We write the playbooks, checklists and training that make store, clinic or office managers part of the programme instead of a bottleneck.
Measured in calls, bookings and visits
Rankings are a means. We connect Google Business Profile insights, call tracking, booking data and GA4 so you see which locations generate leads and which need attention, and report it in a way regional managers understand.
Ready for AI answers and local recommendations
ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews now recommend local businesses. They draw on your profile, reviews, location pages and third-party mentions. We make sure the signals they read are consistent and strong, as part of every local strategy.
What our local SEO consultancy covers
Book one area as a project or combine them in an ongoing advisory engagement. Implementation can stay in-house, with your agency, or with our local SEO services team.
Google Business Profile strategy, single and multi-location
Primary and secondary categories, services and products, attributes, photos, posts, Q&A and profile naming rules that stay within Google’s guidelines. For multi-location brands we design bulk management, ownership and access rules, and a process for openings, closures, relocations and suspensions.
Review generation and response systems
How and when to ask for reviews at the point of service, which tools fit your POS, booking or CRM stack, response templates by scenario, escalation rules for negative reviews and the KPIs per location (volume, velocity, rating, response time) that regional managers own.
Location page architecture
One strong page per location with unique content, local proof, opening hours, services, staff, parking and directions, plus LocalBusiness schema. We define the URL structure, store locator and city or region hubs so hundreds of pages rank without becoming thin, duplicate templates.
Citation and NAP audits
Name, address and phone consistency across data aggregators, directories, maps, industry platforms and social profiles. We find duplicates and conflicting data, prioritise the sources that matter in your country and industry, and specify the clean-up.
Local link and partnership plans
Local press, sponsorships, chambers of commerce, suppliers, universities, events and community partners: a realistic local link plan per market that branches can help execute, with outreach templates and quality criteria.
Franchise playbooks and branch manager training
Brand-wide rules plus room for local initiative. We write the franchise local SEO playbook, run workshops for franchisees and branch managers, and set up the monthly scorecard that shows which locations follow it and which need support.
Who our local SEO consulting is for
Consulting makes most sense where there are several locations, an in-house team or agency already executing, or a local market where the stakes are high.
Multi-location brands and retail chains
Restaurants, retail, banks, gyms, car dealers, clinics and service networks with 10 to 1,000 locations that need one standard, clean data and a way to prioritise effort across all of them.
Franchise networks
Franchisors who want brand control without killing local initiative: shared profile rules, location pages managed centrally, review processes franchisees actually follow and clear reporting per unit.
Ambitious single-location businesses
Law firms, dental and medical practices, agencies and trades in competitive cities who want a senior local SEO expert to set the strategy, check their agency’s work or train their own marketer.
Brands expanding into new cities and countries
Opening locations in new markets means new categories, directories, languages and review cultures. We plan local SEO for each launch together with our international SEO consultancy.
How a local SEO consulting engagement works
Built for organisations where the head office sets the rules and dozens of people in the field have to apply them.
Free consultation and data access
A 30-minute call about your locations, markets, competitors and goals. Then access to Google Business Profile accounts, Search Console, GA4, call tracking and your location data feed so we work on real numbers.
Local SEO audit
Profile health for every location, local pack visibility by area, review benchmarks against competitors, citation consistency, location page quality and technical checks for your store locator and LocalBusiness schema.
Strategy and location priorities
A written strategy: profile standards, category and service decisions, location page template, review programme and link plan, with locations grouped by opportunity so effort goes where the revenue is.
Playbooks and training
Playbooks for head office, regional managers and branches, plus live workshops. Everyone knows what they own, from responding to a one-star review to uploading photos of a refurbished store.
Advisory rhythm and reviews
Monthly or bi-weekly calls, review of your team’s or agency’s work, sign-off on new location pages and campaigns, and quick help when a profile is suspended or a competitor plays dirty.
Quarterly scorecard
Rankings, calls, direction requests, bookings and review KPIs by location and region. Leaders and laggards identified, playbooks updated and the next quarter’s priorities set.
Local SEO problems we solve most often
Patterns we see across chains, franchises and competitive local markets, and how we advise teams to handle them.
Profiles created by everyone, owned by no one
Over the years, branch staff, former agencies and Google itself have created duplicate and unverified profiles. Some list old phone numbers; some belong to a manager who left in 2019. The first step is always an inventory and an ownership model: one organisation account, clear user roles, merged duplicates and a process for every opening, move and closure.
Location pages that are copies of each other
Hundreds of pages that differ only by city name rarely rank and do little for conversion. We define the minimum unique content for each page (local team, services actually offered there, parking, landmarks, reviews, local FAQs), how to collect it from branches without burdening them, and which locations deserve richer content first.
Reviews that depend on luck
A handful of locations with 4.8 stars and hundreds of reviews, the rest with a dozen and a 3.9 average. The difference is usually process, not service quality. We design the ask at the right moment, integrate it with your booking or POS system, set response standards and make review KPIs part of each manager’s scorecard, all within Google’s policies on incentives and gating.
Map pack visibility that stops at the front door
Google’s local ranking is based on relevance, distance and prominence. A business can rank first for searches next to its office and disappear two kilometres away. We measure visibility across a grid of points, identify where competitors win, and use categories, location page content, local links and reviews to extend your reach where customers actually are.
No link between local SEO and revenue
Profile views and direction requests sit in one tool, calls in another, bookings in a third. We define the tracking (UTM tags on profile links, call tracking that keeps NAP consistent, booking attribution) and a dashboard per location, so the business can see what local search is worth and where to invest next.

Local SEO consultant: frequently asked questions
Questions business owners, marketing leads and franchisors ask before hiring a local SEO consultant. For the wider offer, see our SEO consultancy page.
What does a local SEO consultant do?
A local SEO consultant sets the strategy for how your business appears in Google Maps, the local pack, local organic results and AI recommendations. That includes Google Business Profile standards, review systems, location page architecture, citations, local links and measurement. The consultant writes the plan and playbooks, reviews the work and trains your team; your staff or agency carries it out.
How is local SEO consulting different from local SEO services?
With local SEO consulting you pay for senior strategy, reviews and training, and your team or agency implements. With local SEO services, our team also does the hands-on work: profile updates, content, citations and link building. Many clients start with consulting and add execution for selected locations.
How much does a local SEO consultant cost?
Hourly consulting is $100–150 per hour. Advisory retainers start around 8 hours per month, fractional Head of SEO roles are typically one to two days per week, and audits or franchise playbooks are quoted as fixed-fee projects after a free call.
Can you help with multi-location and franchise local SEO?
Yes, that is where consulting adds the most value. We design profile ownership and management for all locations, a scalable location page template, a review programme that branches follow and a scorecard that shows performance by location and region.
What happens if a Google Business Profile is suspended?
We diagnose the likely cause (address, category, naming or verification issues), prepare the evidence and reinstatement request, and fix the underlying problem across your other locations so it does not repeat. Suspensions are one of the most common urgent reasons clients call us.
How long until local SEO shows results?
Profile fixes, category changes and review improvements often show in the map pack within 4 to 8 weeks. Location page and link work typically builds over 3 to 6 months, faster in less competitive areas and slower in dense city centres.
